The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . After the rain of yesterday when we all got a bit wet eventually it did turn into snow. Unfortunately the less than ideal conditions meant that the resort cancelled their planned fireworks display last night which was a shame. OK so the good news this morning is that we do have new snow on the ground. About 10cm or so. Light snow has been falling this morning with the top half of the mountain still covered in cloud. But it does look like conditions might well clear up, a bit of blue sky can be spotted here and there. We'll just have to see how it changes but a clearing trend is likely. The Park is open and the Tree Runs will hopefully open after having a once-over by resort staff. Tomorrow might be a bit warmer again but snow is forecast. Looking forward a few decent snowfalls lined up over the next week so we should be back to powder conditions fairly soon. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . We had a dose of rain last night I'm afraid. The good news is that it is holding off now at the moment for this morning. There is a fair bit of cloud up there, lots of it threateningly grey, but also some breaks in the cloud. We'll just have to see which way it goes. We could get more rain, but later on in the day temperatures are forecast to drop and hopefully tomorrow it will be snow. So, some rain on the snow and so not the best of conditions for this Saturday morning. But I'm sure lots of fun to be had nevertheless. Don't get too wrapped up though it's a rather warm 6C. Tree runs should open after their morning check. Nighta tonight of course with all the fun of the fireworks. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . No new snow that I can see on the ground this morning, though the resort seems to be claiming 5cm on the slopes. This morning is a fine and mostly clear on - just some wispy cloud here and there, but mostly sunny and blue skies. Not too cold either. Snow due later on today and tomorrow along with forecast plummeting temperatures. Got to say that this year we haven't been getting those consistent deep refreshes of snow like we saw last season, and more of this kind of milder day mid season. There's certainly enough so nothing to complain about really but here's too more of the former in the second part of the season! We like those full on crazy conditions. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Somewhat colder this morning in Madarao which is good news. Yesterday was too warm and too... wet. This morning light snow is falling and again the upper part of the mountain covered in cloud but decent visibility on the lower slopes. Best news is that up to 15cm of new snowfall on the slopes this morning. More like 5-10cm at base. Overnight we were treated to snow but also lots of strong noisy wind which blew it all around. There's be less and more than that amount in places, care needed. Snow clouds likely to be with us through today into tomorrow so hopefully we can rack up some more new cm. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Another day of amazing weather up here in Madarao. Clear blue skies. Wow. Stunning stuff. Though it does seem to have been getting less clear/vivid as we enter the afternoon. Unfortunately we are still down for some rain later today and into tomorrow and the mild temperatures that we have today likely to be repeated. Both today and tomorrow a high of around +5, so not what we are used to in early February. Can you believe it's February already? Slow down please, time! By the way tomorrow night after nighta there'll be a cool fireworks display near the resort hotel and entrance to the slopes. Hopefully the weather will co-operate. The resort is saying it has 10-20cm of fresh snow on the slopes and I can confirm the former underfoot in the base village area. Not much to see this morning with white out conditions from where I can see now. Or perhaps I should say grey out as it is much greyer than white out there. Got to know where you're going this morning. Clearing up later today for tomorrow is on the forecast. For now though, let it snow! The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Morning from Madarao Kogen. And it's snowing. Yes, around 5cm or so I reckon and some decent snowfall coming down now as I'm writing this. Colder as well this morning and the snow forecast to be falling for the day so looking good for a pre-weekend topup. A moderate wind blowing around this morning but the resort seems to be open as planned. Forecast for tomorrow is for a cloudy start - perhaps some snow showers lingering - but clearing up later in the day. Back to snow on Sunday by the looks of things... Long weekend upcoming. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Today is the first day of the long weekend here and what a great start it is too. Snow started yesterday evening after a generally fine day, and by late night there was already up to 20cm of fresh built up. This morning I'd put the number at 30cm and the resort itself if putting the number at 30-40cm. What's more, while there's still a lot of cloud up there, I can also see some breaks in it and a bit of blue sky. The sun is shining down from time to time. Is it going to clear up? Good chance I'd day. Clear up or not, there's going to be some great conditions out there to enjoy. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . It was busy busy out there yesterday. Really busy. Car parks full kind of busy. Really nice snow to enjoy though which is what it's all about and this morning the groomers looked good but probably won't last too long with another busy middle-of-the-three-day-weekend in store. No new snow to add to the pile but it's a cold start to the day. Mean looking clouds earlier with some clear areas. In the last hour or so it has clouded over somewhat but it's thin cloud and generally bright. Could clear up, doesn't seem to be able to make up it's mind. All areas open, ready and waiting. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Whe-hey! How do you like the sound of 50-60cm of new snowfall since yesterday? Sounds good? That's what the resort are reporting this morning. It is definitely a very cold and snowy morning with poor visibility and a real mid-winter feel going on. Snow since yesterday then and a really nice new very thick layer to play in... the tree courses are going to be awesome today. Just watch where you're going because there's not much to see. These conditions are probably going to ease off tomorrow, so there'll be plenty of fresh still to enjoy then especially if we get more snow today which seems likely. Have fun! It's a cloudy start to the day and an impressive looking sea of cloud lower down in the valley - always looks impressive. 5cm or so of snow since yesterday and a current temperature of around -4 degrees c. Clouds may well clear somewhat during the day today, though we are due to get back to snow later on today and tomorrow with some decent snowfall due just before the weekend. So the weekend gang should be happy if the forecast is right.
