Cloud forecast for the day but some forecasts seem to be hinting at snowfall due later on today. That would be great if it happens. It's not clear to me at the moment but it seems that Powder Wave I, Powder Theater and Adventure Isle are closed, though I am not sure why. I will try to find out. Fireworks tonight! The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . A small delivery of fairly heavy (consistency) snow overnight and 5cm or so on the mountain according to the resort. Less fog this morning as well though the mountain is still covered in cloud so visibility is improved but still limited in places. I dare not mention it just in case it changes but this coming week we might get to see some snowfall on a few days mid week. I will update you on that nearer the time. Better than wet rain for sure, and actually quite big 'flakes' as well just now, and more snow is on the way... hopefully of the more powdery kind. Looking at the forecast, it's looking pretty good actually. Snow every day through into next week? Would be great. Make it happen! If it does happen, we will all be as pleased as people who are extremely pleased with the snow conditions. I'll keep you updated. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Nice. After the not quite as nice yesterday, this morning is a much better picture. 15-20cm or so of night light fluffy snow this morning. The resort is saying 20-30cm in places. It was windy overnight so a lot of snow blown around so difficult to put a number on it. It is still snowing as well so it should be continuing to pile up. It's a bit windy but lifts look like they are planning to all be operating as normal this morning. Much colder too.... like mid winter! Long may it continue (and it does seem we can expect snow for at least the next few days). It's going to be a top notch day here again as we enjoy this very pleasing first half of March. More sun likely tomorrow too and a bit warmer (it's still very cold this morning), and we are expecting snow again Thursday. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Morning from Madarao and to start the day off it's kind of sunny, and I don't think it's cloudy - more like thick haze. Perhaps there's a word for what we have today that I can't quite think of. But while short distance visibility is and it feels sunny here, I can't even see Myoko properly. Perhaps it will clear later on in the day as we do have clearer conditions forecast. It's going to warm up today after a less cold overnight, we just hope not too much. Tomorrow - borderline wet/snow so we need those temps to keep on the colder side. Up to 5cm where I was at base and the resort is saying up to 10cm on the slopes. Bit wet I imagine as it's not that cold this morning but yes it's better than the rain we experienced yesterday. Snow expected through the day today, let's see how much we can get. Tomorrow, weekend ahoy, and we're expecting to be able to see the sun - and the sun shouldn't be much of a stranger into next week as well. A real warm up is due by mid week... Blue skies above Madarao Kogen as well early on and so it should be a fine morning out there. Sunny, calm, just a slight breeze, new snow, tracks have been filled in.... sounds good to me. Quite a lot of sun on the forecast at the moment actually. Perhaps a slight snow refresh here and there, or a spot of rain if we are unlucky, especially mid week. But we do need to be prepared for a spring-y warm spell in the coming week before hopefully another blast of winter later in the week. He says hoping! For now though, it should be a good weekend!
