Not as much as I thought we might get overnight especially as it was really coming down over in areas to the south, but anyway up to 10cm or so here in Madarao overnight and it is snowing now. Limited visibility due to the snow. By tonight the clouds should have dispersed and then tomorrow we should be starting the day with clear skies. Lots of sun forecast along with that warm up that I mentioned. Still hoping for snow into Sunday and a fairly quick return to proper winter temperatures. We might have to put up with a bit of rain before the snow though. Oh yes, not only have the clouds from earlier on and it is now lovely blue skies over the mountain, but we have a lot of fresh new snow to play in this morning as well. The resort are reporting 40-50cm on the mountain. Strong winds overnight meaning the snow has blown into those tree areas. The powder Tree Run courses should be particularly good this morning. Should be a top day. Wrap up well and enjoy! The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Lots of cloud around this morning, but they seem to be deciding to leave after giving us another 15cm or so of fresh snowfall overnight. Resort is reporting 15-20cm on the mountain. After a bit of wet on my head last night the snowfall is a relief and I look forward to getting out there this morning. So it looks like it's clearing up and more blue sky on show. Tomorrow though, warmer conditions ahead and a good chance of a bit of rain again too later in the day I'm afraid. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . ....and better still this morning! 30-40cm of fresh snow on the slopes of Madarao Kogen this morning and I can certainly vouch for around 30cm on the top of my car as well. Nice and light too so easy to move. Very cold as well. Excellent. We officially have a refresh on our hands, folks. Obviously I'm well pleased to be able to report that. It is continuing to snow now and another cold morning. We're back to really nice snow conditions again. Which is great for the weekend as well.
