I feel we were told in forecasts to expect more than that, but it's still nice of course. And hopefully there will be more added tomorrow as it is snowing nicely as I put this report together. Might be a bit windy again today but both Madarao and Tangram are opening as planned. Should be nice conditions out there. Remember to wrap up well as it's pretty cold! The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Hello from Madarao. This morning we have some cloud and some blue sky but forecasts do say there is a continued chance of light snow today. Madarao isn't reporting any new cm of snow this morning, though I have some from yesterday during the day. Hopefully it will keep cold over the weekend and we look set to have a mix of cloud, light snow at times and clearer skies. There's fresh snow to enjoy so it should be a good weekend. Not windy this morning and conditions should be very nice. All lifts are moving and most of the tree runs are open. Sound like a whole lot of fun! I'm going to wrap up and get out there. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Updated below Some snow last night after a day of (curiously) day of almost clearer weather yesterday. That wasn't quite what we were expecting! Madarao reports 10cm of fresh snowfall and snow depth of 20cm. Tangram is reporting 15cm. That's not enough to open, but we are (again) being told to expect more snow today and into tomorrow. Might we see a big change? Update at 4:00pm Madarao has announced that it will be part open from tomorrow (Saturday). The Number 1 lift plans to open from 8:30am with the 500m Paradise run and 1000m Beginners B run available. Both runs will be ungroomed. Hopefully more snow overnight will help things along before tomorrow morning. Depending on how much snow we get tonight, that plan might change. Tangram has also announced that it will be part open from tomorrow. Number 3 lift is scheduled to open, but, again, there might be more. We now wait to see how much snow falls overnight! Exciting. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . It is a bit cloudy this morning, but the there should still be sun during the day - and over the weekend too. Three lifts operating at Madarao with increasingly ground appearing in places as the snow gets less. While we have had less snow than usual and March has been rather warm, I think we are ending with a decent showing in that respect. Three more days to go! I will be posting my last report on Sunday... the last day of the season. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Morning from Madarao and we do actually have some fresh snow on the ground. Madarao (the ski area) is reporting 5cm and I would agree. After the fine clearer skies of recent days, it's much more murky looking out there with low visibility. Apparently it has been raining lower down in the valley but we have got some white stuff. Let's see what the day brings. Hopefully some more. From tomorrow onwards, we are likely to be back to clear skies and mild temps. It is colder too and feels more like a mid winter morning today with light snow falling at times, though some hints that it might be easing off and even clearing. It's a cloudy start and there is a southerly wind, and there should be snow coming soon. All being well there should be a layer of fresh snow to play in by tomorrow morning. Generally clearer conditions expected over the weekend, particularly on Sunday. Good consistent snowfall incoming early next week too.
