The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here . Good morning from Hakuba. And it is a beautiful morning. The ski areas are reporting several up to 5cm of new snow on the mountain and there was some overnight down below too. You can now ski back down to base at Hakuba Happo-one over at Nakiyama and by the gondola. Yey. With more other lifts and runs opening up at various ski areas, we are at the stage of the season where I thing I can/should simplify the daily list that I put out below. As we are today, Hakuba 47 aside, all ski areas are now in the 'part open' to 'mostly open' kind of operational situation. I will continue to update the info in the list, and report on fresh snow that ski areas talk about, and also mention any notable news in the text of my report. There is more good snowfall on the way, probably starting on Tuesday. If forecasts are right, we might be on for a bunch of days of consecutive snowfall. That would be a big help. It does the heart good to see it coming down. Nice and fluffy. Good temps.
