The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Good morning from Madarao. And what's this?! Limited visibility this morning for a change rather than those blue skies and some fresh snow on the ground. The resort is reporting 5cm and I am able to measure and post 4cm to the report. Not a huge amount but welcome all the same with more snow due over the next few days. It isn't as mild as yesterday, but still a little more than what we expect - though it should be getting colder today and more so from tomorrow. It was busy out there yesterday and with today being the middle day of the long weekend I would expect a similar story today. Things should start to get quieter again around tomorrow afternoon as people make their way back home. Special night time nighta operations this evening. Still, snow is there on some forecasts so perhaps we will get more today and tomorrow. Looks like there's more sun due at the end of the week and back to snowfall over the weekend but there's a chance of milder conditions and a bit of rain before that happens. Hopefully not. I am very happy to report that Nature delivered overnight giving us around 20cm of fresh snow to enjoy this morning. There's some blue sky above us too as well at the moment but I'm not sure it will last with snow there on the forecasts over the next few days. Whatever, it's a very nice start to the day and early birds really will be rewarded. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . A very snowy morning to you from Madarao. 8cm from yesterday that I hadn't reported yet and another 41cm this morning. So 49cm is going on the report this morning. The snow should ease off this afternoon and we should be enjoying clearer skies tomorrow. Then snow is due back over the weekend. Things are feeling really (really) good for the beginning of the season. Just two more days to go before the lifts start moving at both Madarao Kogen and connected Tangram Ski Circus - and the resort has announced that opening will go ahead as planned on Saturday. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Good morning from here in Madarao. And here we go, the first cm of snow to report from base. A nice decent layer of fresh snow on the ground this morning with everywhere looking good and white. Love it. There's lots of cloud around at the moment, not snowing just now and even a bit of sunshine at times. More snow is forecast through tomorrow though. Can't quite believe that we are still over three weeks off the planned opening date, but early snow is always exciting and a good sign. Let's hope there will be a fair few more snowfalls in the coming weeks. I will keep you posted! Seems a bit mad that we need to wait over 3 weeks before the lifts are scheduled to start operating here. We can expect some milder conditions this week but there is more snow on that forecast. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Hi everyone. More snowfall so another update as we get closer to the opening date - a week on Saturday. It's funny... it always seems 'too late' somehow, but then it all seems to make more sense with the unpredictability of late November and early December and as we approach the date. If we get the snowfall that is on the forecast - some on Friday and then again next week - things should be approaching just right as that opening date approaches. And the resort can hopefully get off to a kicking start! And we are now less than one week away from the planned opening of Madarao Kogen and connected Tangram Ski Circus. It's nearly here. Some new snowfall since my last report that I am catching up on in this report (the day before yesterday), and the forecast shows snow from later on in the day yesterday through until Wednesday. Am I right in thinking it has been slightly 'downgraded'.... hmmm, let's see what we get. I'll keep you updated.
