The latest Furano Now report can be found here . We received a full day of rain yesterday along with mild temperatures. By evening this turned the roads and footpaths around town into very slippery surfaces. Early morning that rain has transformed into snow and there is 17cm of accumulation on the ground in town. The snow is extremely wet and heavy, and will provide a good layer to start to repair the rain damage. It is now 0c and will get colder during the day, heading back to a wintery -12c. The resort is open but lift operations may be affected due to the effect of rain and wet snow - best to check directly with the resort for the latest updates. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Furano received a storm front yesterday that lasted through until evening. That has now passed and today is fine weather. It is mainly clear above and the morning sun is just starting to hit the resort. The strong winds of yesterday have gone, and all is calm. The snow received through yesterday was wet, so expect heavy snow conditions on the mountain. The resort is advising some lift operations may vary from normal today and it is best to check with the resort for the latest information. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Yesterday was very warm and the snow turned to spring conditions. Today is a return to colder conditions and a good top up of fresh snow. There is 8cm of new snow at base and around 20cm on the upper part of the resort. The snow is still sticky on the lower half of the mountain, but better higher up. A light wind is blowing and it is snowing moderately. It is mostly cloudy but there are some large patches of clear sky appearing. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . It is a beautiful Wednesday morning in Furano Ski Resort. It was clear blue sky over the mountain an hour ago and now a thin layer of cloud has moved over, still the sun is beaming down though. It is -9c and will only rise up to -6c. There is the possibility of snow arriving around midday. Yesterday conditions were epic on the mountain with 20-30cm of fresh snow at higher elevations. Today will also be very good with a further 16cm at base since yesterdays Furano Now report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . A snow front arrive yesterday afternoon and continued through until evening depositing 8cm of light powder around the village. This morning the precipitation has almost stopped. Cloud is sitting over the upper half of the resort, so expected limited visibility up high. It is -11c now and will only go up to a wintery -6c today. With all this recent snow the trails are in excellent condition. There is a small breeze, almost insignificant. Visibility is good on the lower mountain. There is currently some cloud hovering over the upper half. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Today is the calm after the snowstorm. Furano has awoken to a beautiful blue sky morning with no cloud and no wind. There is a further 29cm of fresh snow to report. Further snow is not expected again until Saturday. Visibility on mountain couldn't be better and the snow conditions will be epic. The resort is advising that regular lift operations may be delayed or changed due to the large amount of snow in the last 24 hours. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Yesterday was truly tropical and a sign that we are starting to exit winter and move into spring. Today is a return to more wintery weather, currently -4c, which will be as warm as it gets today. It is snowing lightly and there is a dusting of 1cm accumulation in town. Conditions are cloudy and the light snowfall is forecast to stop mid morning. Snow conditions will have been affected by yesterdays warm weather.
