Updated: the process has started!

Each year between September and December, we manually check and update information for ski areas across Japan as details are announced. This includes planned opening dates, lift ticket prices, operating schedules, facilities and other information, as well as a general review of all existing information.

The new SnowJapan website has launched during the off-season, before most ski areas have published information for the 2026-2027 winter season. As a result, most of the ski area information currently reflects the previous season. Updates will be published progressively as official information becomes available and we become aware of it during the autumn.

Experience tells us that much of this information only becomes available during the autumn, and it will probably take until at least mid-December before the annual update process is complete. SnowJapan does not receive a central feed of ski area information, and updates are not published on behalf of ski areas. We research, review and update the information independently and manually, so the order in which updates appear can sometimes seem a little random.

The new website also provides a foundation for expanding the information available on ski area pages. Beginning with this year's annual updates, we plan to gradually expand and enhance that content over the coming months and years.
