Ibukinosato is located on the northern foothills of Mt Hanami, to the north of the central area of Niimi city in Okayama Prefecture. Ibukinosato usually opens for 'all nighta' on Saturdays in the peak months of January and February - until 5am on the Sunday morning. The slopes are helped along by a troop of artificial snow-making machines.
Okayama Prefecture is in the Chugoku region of western Japan. The ski hills in Okayama are found in the northern mountainous region of the prefecture close to the border with Tottori Prefecture. Okayama Prefecture also boarders Hyogo Prefecture and Hiroshima Prefecture.
