Hiruzen Bear Valley is located in Maniwa city in the northern region of Okayama Prefecture. Mt Daisen (in Tottori Prefecture) is just to the north. Apparently, the name of this ski area comes from 'Beautiful Exciting Adventure and Resort'. It is close to the Hiruzen IC exit on the Yonago Expressway.
Okayama Prefecture is in the Chugoku region of western Japan. The ski hills in Okayama are found in the northern mountainous region of the prefecture close to the border with Tottori Prefecture. Okayama Prefecture also boarders Hyogo Prefecture and Hiroshima Prefecture.

Children's facilities
There is a 'Kids Park' area for young children with a snow escalator near the base Bear's House building.
Entry is 500 yen (free with valid lift ticket) and various items for playing in the snow can be used for free.

Opening information
Hiruzen Bear Valley opens at 8:30am on weekdays and at 8:00am on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
On Fridays, Saturdays and nights before holidays the resort closes at 10:00pm.
On Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays and national holidays the resort closes at 9:00pm.
The lifts close from 4:55pm until 5:30pm every day for maintenance.

Direction
Hiruzen Bear Valley is near the Hiruzen IC exit of the Yonago Expressway.
From the Hiruzen IC exit, turn left onto Route 482 and after just under 1km turn left onto Prefecture Road 58. Go under the expressway and the ski hill can be found just off the road on the left hand side.
Parking
Parking is available at the base of the ski hill for 500 cars. Parking is free on weekdays and for night skiing. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays parking costs 500 yen for cars.
