Onbara Kogen is located in Kagamino town in the northern region of Okayama Prefecture. This ski hill has two connected areas called Panorama and Lakeside - each with a separate base area. In summer it is a popular camping area.
The Lakeside area and two lifts will not be opening for the 2020-2021 season. That means that just the three pair lifts in the Panorama Area will be operating. Lift tickets are cheaper this season due to that change.
Okayama Prefecture is in the Chugoku region of western Japan. The ski hills in Okayama are found in the northern mountainous region of the prefecture close to the border with Tottori Prefecture. Okayama Prefecture also boarders Hyogo Prefecture and Hiroshima Prefecture.
