X-JAM Takaifuji is located on the eastern slopes of Mt Kosha in Yamanouchi town, in the north-eastern region of Nagano Prefecture.
In recent seasons, X-JAM Takaifuji was one of five connected ski hills on the slopes of Mt Kosha that were branded as 'Mt Kosha' and joint lift tickets were available. In recent years that plan has seen many adjustments, bringing us to the 2020-2021 season. This season only a joint X-JAM and neighbouring Yomase Onsen ticket is available. (There ticket known as 'Kita Shiga' which was valid at nearby Ryuoo Ski Park and Komaruyama is not available for the 2020-2021 season; and there are no longer any joint tickets with Kijimadaira and Makinoiri.
In the regions surrounding Mt Kosha, Myoko and Madarao Kogen are to the west, Nozawa Onsen is to the north and Shiga Kogen is to south west.
Nagano Prefecture is located in the Chubu region of the main island of Honshu. Most of the Northern Alps, Central Alps and Southern Alps are located within Nagano (along with neighbouring prefectures). Nagano has the second highest number of ski and snowboard resorts in all of Japan and they are spread around the whole prefecture. Nagano city and many of the major ski resorts are located in the northern region.
Ski and snowboard lessons are available at X-JAM Takafuji.
