Hijiri Kogen is a small ski hill located in Omi village, to the south-west of Nagano city in the northern region of Nagano Prefecture.

Nagano Prefecture is located in the Chubu region of the main island of Honshu. Most of the Northern Alps, Central Alps and Southern Alps are located within Nagano (along with neighbouring prefectures). Nagano has the second highest number of ski and snowboard resorts in all of Japan and they are spread around the whole prefecture. Nagano city and many of the major ski resorts are located in the northern region.

Hijiri Kogen is open from 8:40am until 5:00pm during the main season. In the early season until around mid January it is open until 4:30pm.

Hijiri Kogen is about 7km from the Omi IC exit and 8km from the Obasute Smart IC exit of the Nagano Expressway.

From the Omi IC, exit turn left onto Route 403. The ski hill is just off this main road and well signposted.

There is parking for 200 vehicles at the base of the ski hill. Parking is free every day of the season.
