Chuo-do Ina Ski Resortis located in Ina city close by the Chuo Expressway road in Nagano Prefecture. This region does not get the most snow but snow making machines help nature at this resort. Chuo-do Ina first opened in 1988. The ski hills in this region are within easy reach of the Aichi, Gifu and Shizuoka areas.
Nagano Prefecture is located in the Chubu region of the main island of Honshu. Most of the Northern Alps, Central Alps and Southern Alps are located within Nagano (along with neighbouring prefectures). Nagano has the second highest number of ski and snowboard resorts in all of Japan and they are spread around the whole prefecture. Nagano city and many of the major ski resorts are located in the northern region.
Ski and snowboard lessons are available at Chuo-do Ina Ski Resort. There are actually some free total-beginner lessons available... best to ask them about that!

As the 2018-2019 winter season approaches, we are gradually updating the information on these pages (for every ski resort in Japan).
Many ski resorts in Japan do not update their own information until late autumn. Our process of updating information will be ongoing right through until the end of November. In the meantime, ski resorts usually open and close around the same dates each year - so even if the planned season dates shown on this page are still from the 18-18 season, they can be used as a good indication of the upcoming season.
