Jibuzaka Kogen is a small ski hill located in Achi village in the south-western region of Nagano Prefecture. Jam fans should be excited to hear about the 'Jam' shop by base! (Perhaps our Niseko Now reporter might be tempted to visit to get a special topping for their morning toast).
The ski hills in this region are within easy reach of the Aichi, Gifu and Shizuoka areas.
Nagano Prefecture is located in the Chubu region of the main island of Honshu. Most of the Northern Alps, Central Alps and Southern Alps are located within Nagano (along with neighbouring prefectures). Nagano has the second highest number of ski and snowboard resorts in all of Japan and they are spread around the whole prefecture. Nagano city and many of the major ski resorts are located in the northern region.
Ski and snowboard lessons are available at Jibuzaka Kogen.
Ski and snowboard equipment rental is available. Ski and snowboard wear rental is also available.
There is a 'Kids Park' at the base area. Entry and use of the moving walkway costs 500 yen.
There is a 'Snow Park' located on the upper slopes (Number 3 course).
