Sonei Kunohei is a small ski hill located just to the south of the centre of Kunohe village in the northern region of Iwate Prefecture.

Iwate Prefecture is located in the Tohoku region of the main island of Honshu. Morioka is the capital city. Most of the ski and snowboard hills in Iwate Prefecture are located in the western mountainous regions, near to the border with Akita Prefecture. Aomori Prefecture is to the north and Miyagi Prefecture is to the south of Iwate.

From the Kunohe IC exit, turn right onto Route 340 and go through central Kunohe village. The ski hill is about 1.5km to the west of Route 340.
