Okuradake Kogen is a small ski hill located in Komatsu city in the southern region of Ishikawa Prefecture. It is popular with families and children due to the generally gentle nature of the runs on offer. It is also popular for nighta operations, sometimes opening until late night.

Ishikawa Prefecture is in the Chubu region of central Japan. Most of the ski hills in Ishikawa Prefecture are in and around Hakusan, Komatsu and the capital city of Kanazawa city. With the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen line to Kanazawa since spring 2015, the region has become more accessible to more people.

2018-2019 SKI RESORT INFORMATION UPDATES
The 2018-2019 winter season is approaching! Hurray!

At the time of writing more than 60% of the ski hills in Japan have still not updated their own information for the upcoming season. We are continuing to manually update the information on these ski resort pages of SnowJapan but for the moment things are unavoidably a mix of old and new. In most cases ski resorts open and close around the same dates each season, so even if the planned season dates shown on this page are still from the 2017-2018 season, that is usually a good indication of what to expect this time round.
