Hakusan Seymour is located in Hakusan city in the southern region of Ishikawa Prefecture. It used to be known as 'Kanazawa Seymour', or the even longer name 'Kawachisenjo Onsen Kanazawa Seymour' - the nearby Kawachisenjo Onsen is a popular hot springs area. Hakusan Seymour is within easy reach of Kanazawa city and both the ski hill and onsen are popular with day-trippers from that region. This ski hill originally opened in 1987.
Ishikawa Prefecture is in the Chubu region of central Japan. Most of the ski hills in Ishikawa Prefecture are in and around Hakusan, Komatsu and the capital city of Kanazawa city. With the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen line to Kanazawa since spring 2015, the region has become more accessible to more people.
