Sky Valley is located in Yabu city in the north-western region of Hyogo Prefecture, on the eastern slopes of Mt Hachibuse. It is connected with the Hyperbowl Tohachi resort and they share a common lift ticket. It has been operating since 1982.
The mascot character is a squirrel, apparently called 'Risumaru-kun' - hopefully good friends with 'Kerohachi', the frog mascot at the connecting Hyperbowl Tohachi resort. We care about these things.
Hyogo Prefecture is located in the Kansai region of western Japan. It stretches the width of the country and has a coastline both on the Sea of Japan to the north and on the Seto Inland Sea to the south. Most of the ski and snowboard resorts in Hyogo Prefecture are located in the northern region of the Prefecture.
