Sapporo Bankei is located in the Chuo Ward area of Sapporo city in Hokkaido and is fairly close to the central area of the city - about 20 minutes from the Odori Park area. This resort features a 180m long half-pipe (230m including the approach and finish area) and the resort claims that it is one of the largest in Japan. The resort has three named areas - East, Center and West - with a wide base area and parking in each.
Hokkaido is the second largest island of Japan and also the largest and northernmost prefecture (though it is not usually referred to as a prefecture). It has coastlines on the Sea of Japan, the Sea of Okhotsk and also the Pacific Ocean. Sapporo is the capital city of Hokkaido and was host to the 1972 Winter Olympics. Hokkaido is home to the largest number of ski hills in Japan. While the majority of them are very small, some of the larger ski and snowboard resorts in Hokkaido - mostly found in regions to the west and east of Sapporo - are amongst the most famous in Japan.
Ski and snowboard lessons are available at Sapporo Bankei.
Ski and snowboard equipment rental is available. Ski and snowboard wear rental is also available.
The 'Waku Waku Snow Land' is by the base of the Green P lift. It opens from 9:30am until 4:00pm and is 900 yen for entry (700 yen with valid lift ticket).
The 'Snow Park' is located on the lower slopes near the Centre Lodge. There is also a 'Mogul Park' area.
