Snow Cruise Onze is located to the east of the main area of Otaru city and to the north west of Sapporo city in Hokkaido. The coast of Ishikari Bay is close by. This ski hill opens until 11:00pm every day in the main season and apparently all of the nighta lighting is now LED.
This ski area has a history dating back to 1965 and has been known as 'Snow Cruise Onze' since 1982. All floodlights at LEF!
Hokkaido is the second largest island of Japan and also the largest and northernmost prefecture (though it is not usually referred to as a prefecture). It has coastlines on the Sea of Japan, the Sea of Okhotsk and also the Pacific Ocean. Sapporo is the capital city of Hokkaido and was host to the 1972 Winter Olympics. Hokkaido is home to the largest number of ski hills in Japan. While the majority of them are very small, some of the larger ski and snowboard resorts in Hokkaido - mostly found in regions to the west and east of Sapporo - are amongst the most famous in Japan.
A free shuttle bus service is available. It starts at Miyanosawa Station, stopping off at Teine Station and Zenibako Station on the way. The first one leaves Miyanosawa Station at 9:15am and arrives at the ski area at 10:00am.
There is also a bus from Asabu Station.
3.3km from the Zenibako IC on the Sasson Expressway
Nearest national route: Route 5 (0.6km away)
The base of this ski resort is 0.5km off Route 5 (Ororon Line) and very close by the side of the Sasson Expressway.
The Zenibako IC exit on that expressway is the closest to Snow Cruise Onze and just over a 3km journey from the car parks.
