Nihonmatsu Shiozawa is located to the east of Mt Adatara in Nihonmatsu city, Fukushima Prefecture and close to the Dake Onsen hot spring village area. It is the most easterly ski area in Fukushima and not too far from Adatara Kogen, also in Nihonmatsu.
For the 2021-2022 season Nihonmatsu Shiozawa will mostly only be open on weekends and holidays. See below for full details.
Fukushima Prefecture is composed of three main regions - the Hamadori region to the east (including the Pacific Ocean coastline), the Nakadori region (the central area) and the Aizu region (the Western mountainous region). Many of the ski and snowboard resorts in the prefecture are found on or near Mt Bandai and Mt Adatara to the north of Lake Inawashiro. Most of the others can be found scattered across the western region of the Aizu region or to the south-west of Lake Inawashiro.

The 'Board Park' includes a variety of items and is located by the Number 1 lift.

Nihonmatsu Shiozawa is normally open from 9:00am until 4:30pm every day during the daytime.
The ski area is closed on weekdays in January and February except on the following days: 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th January and 11th, 23rd February 2022.
Night skiing is scheduled for Saturdays between 8th January and 26th February 2022, and also on 9th January. Last lift up at 9:40pm.
This ski area is normally closed on Wednesdays.

Nihonmatsu Station on the Tohoku Honsen line is the nearest train station to Nihonmatsu Shiozawa, about 13.5km from the base.

A bus service is available that operates from Nihonmatsu Station to Shiozawa onsen with a stop close to the ski area. The journey takes about 35 minutes.

Nihonmatsu Shiozawa is just under 13km from the Nihonmatsu IC exit of the Tohoku Expressway.
From the Nihonmatsu IC exit, turn left and then left once more and follow the signs joining up with Prefecture Road 354. Continue past Ebisu Circuit and Tohoku Safari Park on the right hand side to approach the base of Nihonmatsu Shiozawa.
