Ski Japan Katsuyama (often known as Ski Jam or Jamkatsu) is located to the east of central area of Katsuyama city in the north eastern region of Fukui Prefecture. Karigahara is close by. Ski Jam Katsuyama has been operating since 1993 and is one of the larger and more popular resorts in this region - and certainly the largest in Fukui Prefecture - with many people visiting from the Chubu and Kansai regions. The 2018-2019 season marks the 25th Anniversary.
The resort has three main official areas - Variety, Fantasy and Illusion - and operates four quad lifts, one triple and three pair lifts.
Fukui Prefecture is in the Chubu region of central Japan, facing the Sea of Japan. It borders Ishikawa to the north, Gifu to the east and Kyoto and Shiga to the south. Most of the ski hills in Fukui Prefecture are found in the north eastern region to the east of the capital, Fukui city.

The 'Be-Kids Park' has a Sledding Area, Snowboard Aresa and Ski Area. Entry is 500 yen for half day; 900 yen for 1 day. It is found in the lower Variety area.
There is also a 'Snow Land' featuring banana boat rides (500 yen per person).
'Jam Kids' is a child care service for children above 6 months age. Reservations required.

From 1st February 2019 until closing, the resort is open until 5:00pm.

Parking is available at the base of the resort. Car parking charges are 1,300 yen per day - this charge includes the charge for the toll road to get to the resort. The car park is open 24 hours a day.
