St.MARY was a ski area located in Kawasaki Town in the southwestern region of Miyagi Prefecture.
The full official name is Miyagi Zao St.MARY.
The courses of St.MARY were on the eastern foothills of Mt Gando. The ski area's base is on one side of the Yamagata Expressway road, but most ski courses are on the other. The ski lifts and courses go over and under the expressway at two points near the base.
There was one quad lift and four pair lifts at this ski area, and the longest run is 2,200m.
St.MARY enjoyed easy access from the Miyagi and Yamagata regions via the Yamagata Expressway (Sasaya IC exit) and Route 286.
Since 2018, the 557m Starlight pair lift and Starlight course had been open for summer skiing on plastic mats.
In January 2024, it was announced that St.MARY ski area would be closing at the end of the 2023-2024 winter season. Reasons given were the decline in the number of skiers and the effects of warmer winters.
During the 2025-2026 winter season, a small area at the base of St.MARY opened as a Kids Land children area. It is unclear if that will continue or expand into the ski area potentially re-opening.
