Snow Resort Nekoyama is a ski area located on the northern slopes of Mt Neko in the north region of Shobara City in Hiroshima Prefecture.

There are four lifts at Snow Resort Nekoyama. The longest is 836m. The (shortest) Number 4 lift was closed since the 2021-2022 season due to technical issues.

Snow Resort Nekoyama has traditionally used many artificial snow-making machines that help with natural snowfall if required.

The general 'cat' theme comes from the name - the kanji for Nekoyama are 'cat' and 'mountain'. In addition to that, the base Ski Centre building is a pyramid shape, and ski course names include Camel, Cleopatra, and Sphynx. (For reasons unknown!).

Unfortunately, in early September 2023, it was announced that Snow Resort Nekoyama would not be opening for the 2023-2024 winter season. The reasons given include recent unreliable weather, the effects of the coronavirus situation, high electricity costs and ageing facilities.

There does not seem to have been any further public announcements since then.
