Akakura Kanko Hotel is a luxurious hotel located in a commanding location right on the slopes of Mt. Myoko, offering breath-taking views of the surrounding region. Founded in 1937, in a time when the Japanese government was encouraging the construction of international resorts as a way for the country to gain foreign currency. In 2009, the new SPA & SUITE Wing opened, featuring a large public bath, spa, and guest rooms each rotenburo (open-air baths). The newest Premium Wing was constructed in 2016, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the resort. We provide a comfortable, relaxed environment. Akakura Kanko is an all-season resort, complete with golf course (summer), ski area (winter), and gondola lift (all season).
