Asahidake, Kurodake, Sahorodake, are just several examples of moutains surrounding Tomamu that are heaven to those powder seekers.

Nobody know the mountain better than Tomamu Powder Team who has spent many seasons carefully observing the surrounding mountains.

• ICE VILLAGE

Ice Village, a village made only of ice and snow appears in the center of the resort for a limited time in winter.

A skate rink, ice bar, ice restaurant and ice chapel offers a unique experience to it's visitors.

• MINA-MINA BEACH

One of Japan's largest indoor wave pools.

No matter how cold it is outside, the inside is kept at tropical 30 degrees.

Imagine floating on warm water in your swim suits watching white snow falling outside the window.

Hoshino Resort Tomamu is the closest all-around resort from the New Chitose Airport. The direct bus or JR train would bring you to Tomamu in approx. 90 minutes.

Two hotels, THE TOWER and RISONARE TOMAMU has a variety of room types to fit any type of travels.

Within the resort area is a 25 run ski resort, one of Japan's largest indoor wave pool, snow activity field and if your visit is between January to March, you can experience the ICE VILLAGE.

Located in the midst of mountains in central Hokkaido, Tomamu hosts Back County and CAT tours to please guests from all over the world looking for the best quality powder fun.

With 5 non-groomed runs and a tree-run area within the ski resort, those powder beginners could improve their skills easily.

For the non-skiers/snowboarders and small children, the snow fun area "NIPO TOWN" is open freely to all guests.

Kids can rent various sleds, use the magic carpet and slide down the hill!

Our goal is to become the No.1 Family Friendly Resort in Hokkaido. This does not mean that our slopes and mountains are low in difficulty - we want to make sure that the children of all ages could enjoy their time at the resort while the father or mother is out on a backcountry tour or having a blast at our "Experts Only Powder Area."

We want to make sure that guests of all ages and all ski levels could enjoy the snow and find the fun in the cold. We don't want any family member to leave our resort feeling that snow and cold is not fun!
