Today is the last day of the ski season here in Zao and this is my last report of the 2016/2017 season.

The resort is still doing it's best to remain open and for now the courses available are the top Zangezaka Juhyogen, Chuo and Utopia courses.

More lifts are closed now, and a few more have their last day today, but it still feels cold and rather winter like.

Some very nice conditions out on the mountain yesterday with the fresh snow and there's another 4cm to add to that this morning.

Good morning from Zao and there's a bit more fresh snow on the ground here.

Very poor visibility out there this morning. I'm not sure I'd be able to find my way around.

Just a bit of snow to report from here at village base, hopefully a bit more higher up, and a cloudy start to the day.

A bit of snow this morning to report but it's calm and fine now with a mix of cloud and blue skies and the sun casting shadows as the clouds move quickly.

I am measuring just over 20cm of fresh snow here at base, so there's surely that and upwards at higher elevations.

It's foggy this morning with poor visibility mountain-wide and including down here at base, and snow is falling too.

Can't see much of anything outside at the moment as we seem to be completely covered in cloud.

It's a cold morning here in Zao and there's a few cm of fresh snow on the ground and light snow falling as I write this report.
