It was snowing for most of the day yesterday, though weaker at times, but we were back to heavier snowfall in the evening and this morning there is another 30cm of fresh snow to report.

The crazy snow situation continues into today.

Welcome to the long weekend! With Monday a holiday here in Japan, it's one of the main weekends of the season and so places expect to see quite a few people turn up.

Just a slight dusting of snow since yesterday evening as eventually the snow clouds cleared up.

Another large delivery of snow has arrived in Yuzawa and Minamiuonuma.

Unfortunately it did rain yesterday and quite a bit at times as well. Sleet and snow at times and in higher elevations but a real wet feeling to the day.

It wasn't the best of days yesterday in terms of weather and associated conditions.
