Just under 12cm measured this morning (by me) and around 20cm being reported by Hirafu and Hanazono on the slopes.

Hanazono is this morning reporting up to 26cm of snowfall on upper areas and Hirafu is reporting 25cm.

A good 10cm of snow again with the Avalanche Report indicating up to 30cm; ski areas are saying up to 15cm on the slopes.

I have another fairly modest amount of fresh snowfall to report this morning, almost all arriving yesterday.

It is an extremely cold start to the day. I am guessing it is the coldest of the winter so far.

There is more good snowy news this morning, with 18cm measured and ski areas reporting 20cm - and up to 30cm - out on the mountain.

This is more like what we expect (and love).

Top lifts and eventually some others (including the Hirafu gondolas) were affected by that southerly wind yesterday.

Just under 4cm of snow for the report today and it is snowing lightly as I am about to post (the sun also seems to be trying to appear).
