Actually, I am in Sapporo at the moment, so that's not quite right. But after a phone call with a trusted friend, I believe all should be fine with this 'remote' report!

It was windy last night and still quite windy this morning and what feels like changeable conditions this morning.

So after that lovely sunshine yesterday morning, we are back to fresh snow this morning. Double hurray!

The only fresh snow I have to report to you this morning is from yesterday morning. Otherwise no fresh snow overnight.

This morning I have a few mm over 20cm of snow to report, which is a very nice thing to be able to report on this national holiday.

I am measuring another 11cm of snow since yesterday, with Hirafu and Hanazono both reporting 20-25cm, so I would expect more on the slopes.

This morning Hirafu and Hanazono are reporting up to 25cm of fresh snowfall over the last 24 hours, and the Avalanche Report has up to 40cm.

Another 10-15cm of snow since yesterday and as the ski areas open for the morning we have generally cloudy skies but with a hint of the sun trying to break through.

I have another 7cm of snow to report to you this morning after a day of cloud, light snow and some blue sky too.

It feels milder this morning, though it is still -3C.

My mind just wouldn't settle down last night and the noisy winds outside didn't help me get a good nights sleep.

Just a short while ago it was snowing heavily outside my place, though that has eased off considerably now.

It was snowing quite hard for a while there yesterday afternoon, and this morning I have an additional 7cm to add to my report.

It's another of those mornings where it's quite bright with some blue sky in places, and light snow lazily falling in others (Village).
