Good morning from Niseko on this last day of 2020.

Just two days left in 2020. So quick. Yet, so slow. And so... well, 2020.

It started snowing again early morning and so just a few cm to report to you this morning. Visibility has decreased since earlier and looks quite limited right now.

And this morning how much do I have to report to you.

Another decent amount of fresh snow to report to you this morning. I am measuring 14cm.

We had some strong winds overnight and it is still quite windy - the top Hanazono lift and the Annupuri Gondola are currently on hold.

Living in Japan for a long time, Christmas has gradually lost some of the meaning it once had for me, but it feels weirder than usual this year.

A few cm of snow on the ground this morning from overnight and light snow now falling.

It doesn't feel as cold this morning and we are indeed told to expect a few days of milder weather.

Another morning and there's another decent amount of fresh snow on the ground here in Hirafu and the Niseko region.

Yikes, it's jolly cold this morning. Like, really, really (really) cold. When I got up the thermometer outside was saying nearly -18C (it has moved a bit since then).

The ski areas themselves are this morning reporting 21-25cm of snow around base areas and 18-30cm on upper areas.
