Good morning from Niseko on this middle day of March.

Just under 1cm of snow since yesterday. I feel I can justify the 1cm in this report. Perhaps a few more higher up?

There was slightly under 1cm of snow that I can justify reporting this morning.

Well, it's always nice to be surprised (* with nice things) isn't it?

Just 1cm to report this morning, but that was from yesterday morning post-report.

I feel this is an unexpected surprise, but as I put this report together there are some very nice big flakes of snow falling and coming down at quite the rate too.

It's a lovely morning here. No fresh snow, but lots of blue sky, some wispy thin cloud and beautiful scenery to enjoy. And, of course, the snow.

It's a mostly overcast kind of morning, but it is quite bright. It might snow lightly; it might get to be a bit sunny.

I just measured slightly under 10cm of lovely fresh snow and it is still coming.

It has turned into a fine morning.

Well, the snow did arrive and this morning I have just measured 14cm of it. Ski areas reporting up to 20cm and the Avalanche Report mentions 30cm.

It is a cloudy morning but snow is still forecast... it just hasn't started yet.

It is an overcast start to the day. Quite windy and not particularly cold.

The sun is out this morning but it is more of an overcast kind of feel than deep blue skies.
