I’m in Nagano (city) at the moment so it’s one of those remote reports, but a fairly easy one as there has not been any fresh snow.

Just a dusting really since yesterday and a mostly cloudy start to the weekend, but some blue sky in places. Feels like it might clear up.

This morning we have some cloud and some blue sky but forecasts do say there is a continued chance of light snow today.

The ski area reports 15cm of fresh snow this morning and that is how much I have measured too.

25+cm of fresh so far and it is still snowing - and hopefully will be all day and tomorrow too. Just light snow as I type this out but it's forecast to continue.

It looks very sunny over our lovely mountain with clear blue skies. I'm sure it will have been a great morning.

Forecasts still have some 'snow' hanging over us for the day, but as I look out the window just now I can actually see a bit of sun getting through the clouds.

After that fine day yesterday this morning it is snowing and apparently there is around 15cm of fresh.

It's a beautiful (and cold) early morning across northern Nagano.

There have been little patches of blue sky on show from time to time this morning, but generally the snow is continuing and should do for the day.

The early morning snow yesterday didn't really amount to much.

Well, after all that beautiful snow yesterday morning, we actually got some sunshine in the afternoon with good visibility.

I have excellent news. We have received a lot of snow overnight.

We have got some fresh snow. It's a modest amount, indeed, but we'll take it and hope that forests are right when they tell us to expect more today and particularly tonight.
