There's some sun shining down on the mountain as I look out on it now. With the 'fresh snow' look thing going on and the sun, it looks beautiful.

I'm going to have to look back but I can't quite recall a start to the season like this. Another 50cm or so of snow since yesterday.

Hello and welcome to the first official day of the season here in Madarao.

1 day to go!

The Number 1 and Number 2 quad lifts at Madarao will be open on Saturday, with the big opening planned for 9:00am.

Madarao has announced that it will indeed be opening on Saturday - though I think we pretty much knew that was going to be possible with our lovely snowfall.

I am very happy to bring you your daily dose of Madarao snow.

With both Madarao and Tangram planning to open this coming Saturday (19th), we need snow. And this week we should be getting enough of it to let that planned opening happen.

Fresh snow on the ground this morning. Indeed, I have just measured slightly over 12cm. Nice.

Right now it is generally cloudy but quite bright at times, perhaps the sun will break through again.

And yes, we have a bit of snowfall... just a bit, and it is raining down in town. But good to see a thin sprinkling of snow. Might be a bit more before tomorrow too, in which case I'll let you know.

There is a few cm on the ground from an overnight delivery and right now the sun is shining through my window with there is an increasing amount of blue sky.
