It doesn't seem that long ago when I was starting up these reports for the season... but here I am wrapping them up on the last day of the season.

3 days to go! Yes, it's Saturday morning and Madarao's last day of the season is Monday, March 31st.

Temperatures just around zero this morning but it's going to get toasty later on in the day.

The sun is out this morning which is a big change from the conditions we had yesterday - which was mid-winter like snow and wind too.

Fresh snow! Yes, we have got that fresh we were hoping for. Of course, we want more.

A bit of sun earlier on, but it's mostly grey and cloudy now, and rain will very probably be falling today... up high as well.

A bit of new snow on the courses this morning as the day starts with the sun out and the prospect of a warm up today.

Some more fresh snow this morning so good timing for the weekend. Blue skies above Madarao Kogen as well early on and so it should be a fine morning out there.

A bit more like winter this morning and a bit of new snow on the ground as well. Up to 5cm where I was at base and the resort is saying up to 10cm on the slopes.

Morning from Madarao and to start the day off it's kind of sunny, and I don't think it's cloudy - more like thick haze.

What can I say? Blue skies again over Madarao, but that delivery of fresh snow overnight. Lovely groomed courses, untouched powder in the trees.

Back to snow this morning and about 15cm to report (resort saying 15-20cm on the slopes) and after temperatures warming up a bit yesterday afternoon we're back to very cold conditions this morning.

The great early March 2014 continues with at least another 20cm of fresh snow on the ground and the resort reporting up to 30cm on the slopes.

It's going to be a great day today. New snowfall? Check. About 20cm.
