Today was originally going to be the first day of the ski season here but that has been delayed.

It is a beauty this morning. Blue skies all around and the sun is shining down on us.

Hello everybody! It's November and time for snow.

This morning the report was updated with information for today but... it turns out that today Geto Kogen has announced that they are closing.

It might be the second half of April but... it is snowing.

Geto remains open but a few things to note. Only folks from within Iwate Prefecture are welcome.

The resort reports this morning 24cm of fresh snow, with 10cm of that overnight.

The resort itself is saying 25cm over the last 24 hours with 5cm of that overnight.

Another Monday morning. And guess what, we have about 20cm of snow on the ground. Really!! That is a nice surprise.

Another small delivery of snow with a few cm overnight and a few from the day yesterday.

Fine day yesterday with some light snowfall overnight.

A thin layer of snow this morning after a day of rain and sleet and then snow in the evening.

There's more fresh snow on the ground this morning with over 10cm overnight and probably more higher up on the mountain.
