After saying not much chance of any more snow in the report yesterday... we have snow this morning!! (Perhaps I should have said 'not much chance of more heavy snow').

Good news! It was kind of somewhere between sleet and snow down in base areas, but giving us about 10cm. Bit wet, but thanks! We'll take it.

Yesterday was a mix of conditions. Going from the clearer start to snow with up to 25cm of snow being reported on upper areas by the ski area.

Some sunshine, and a nice mix of blue sky and cloud. Add in 10-15cm of snow and maybe around double that higher up and it should be a good day.

Geto this morning reporting 62cm of snowfall on the upper areas and there's another 40cm or so down at base. So just another normal day here.

Back to snow, with about 10cm on the ground this morning and the ski area reporting 30cm on upper areas.

Yesterday we got a mix of cloud, rain, snow, rain and then snow again. I know the bits I prefer.

'Only' 60cm or so of fresh snow this morning at base. A slightly more respectable nearly 80cm higher up.

Geto doesn't really do half measures. The snow is back in style after some pretty mad conditions starting yesterday.

The rain has turned to snow. But it is really windy and... all lifts are on hold.

After what turned out to be a bit of a snowy windy morning yesterday, it later settled down. This morning it is a cold start but clear skies - and going to be milder.

It is a national holiday here in Japan but the snow isn't easing off just yet. Though, for us, not as much to report this morning just 20cm or so at base and the resort itself reporting 34cm.
