Good morning from Zao.

Well, we have had some fresh snowfall since my last report! Always nice to see.

It is keeping cold this morning and light snow is falling.

I have added the planned closing dates of each of the lifts to the information below. Subject to change, of course. They are still having them run to 6th May, so it will be interesting to see if that will be possible with the snow less than usual.

Official snow depths (as reported by resort):

- Summit area: 50cm

- Paradise area: 40cm

- Chuo area: 75cm

- Utopia area: 65cm

- Uwanodai area: 10cm

- Oomori area: 0cm

- Generally upper areas remain part open; lower areas are closed

The following lifts continue to operate (subject to change):

- Zao Ropeway [open daily]

- Zao Chuo Ropeway [open daily]

- Chuo Number 1 pair AB [open daily until 6th May]

- Chuo Number 2 pair AB [open until 12th April and 18th-19th April]

- Diamond Number 2 pair [open until 10th April and 11th-12th April]

- Utopia Number 2 pair [open daily until 6th May]

- Sky Cable [open daily]

- Other lifts are now closed for the season

Information regarding ski area operations is manually checked every morning and is believed to be correct at the time of the report.
