New snowfall at base 5cm
Snowfall at base this season 172cm
Posted on Sunday 3rd January 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Zao Now report can be found here.
Not much new snow overnight but it continues to snow and more is expected over the next few days.
The sun was actually in and out yesterday with blue-sky spells and the tops becoming visible. Likely to be so again today, although higher up it is still shrouded in mist but the sun can be seen like an ambient orb behind the clouds.
The onsens were on a winner yesterday as cold folk sought to warm up again after a good bash on the slopes. Cold again today so wrap up. It should be getting substantially quieter from mid-afternoon after this longish holiday period.
