Morning from Zao and Happy New Year.
A good snow day yesterday with it though the day and a lot of wind in the evening. It was calmer by the time of New Year.
The strong winds really blew the snow around, though, and as a result just 10cm at base to record.
It is worth noting that there will be more than that in places, and indeed the ski area was reporting 30cm this morning.
Difficult to pin down one number on a day like today, but the measurement is what the measurement is!
Official snow depth (reported by ski area):
Yokokura area: 70cm
Uwanodai area: 60cm
Utopia area: 140cm
Chuo area: 110cm
Paradise area: 110cm
Summit area: 100cm
