Independent snow and weather reporting from the Zao region of Yamagata

New snowfall at base 21cm
Snowfall at base this season 371cm

Posted on Thursday 18th February 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Zao Now report can be found here.

It snowed throughout the day yesterday and continued into this morning. A nice new crop of powder :).

It is quite bright down below so the fog might lift later on. We're expecting sunny spells tomorrow with more snow but light.

If today is anything like yesterday, it will be a great one.

Winds may be a around more than yesterday which actually wasn't very noticeable (but maybe that was because we'd just been through a day of blizzards).
