The weather yesterday was, for the most part, cloudy with some light snow in the early afternoon and again in the evening and overnight. The snow didn't really stick around town, though, with just a dusting at our measuring point (can just about justify the 1cm in this report!).
There might be some more snow higher up - it looks like there may well be, with many trees on the mountains looking rather snowy.
This morning is starting with a mix of cloud and some blue sky (over the last 30 minutes the amount of blue sky has increased).
Monday is a national holiday in Japan and quite a lot of visitors celebrating the Chinese New Year are here too. This weekend will probably be one of the busiest of the season.
Snow is still forecast for Saturday night, so Sunday might be the best day of the weekend for fresh conditions.
