Good morning from Yuzawa.
It was definitely not great to hear rain falling overnight.
And so it was good to wake up to snow.
Maiko is reporting 3cm and at 7:30am Kagura was reporting 5cm of fresh snowfall. It seems like higher areas have received a welcome layer of fresh snow.
It's just a small amount, up to around a few cm in places around town, but importantly it is snowing (though only lightly) this morning. Hopefully we will be getting more through today and into tomorrow. Currently slightly under 0C and it should be getting colder tonight and tomorrow is set to be a colder day.
Fingers crossed for good news tomorrow.
Over at NASPA Ski Garden: they had taken the chairs off their Number 3 quad lift due to some kind of technical/mechanical problem. Yesterday they put the chairs back on the lift, so hopefully that will be back operating soon.
