Independent snow and weather reporting from the Yuzawa & Minamiuonuma region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 176cm

Posted on Tuesday 7th January 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Yuzawa Now report can be found here.

Just a few cm more to add from around the resorts since yesterday, though with another 10cm on my car during the day that's the number I'm adding below. The snow eased off later in the day and overnight the clouds have dispersed leaving us with clear and sunny skies this morning over the region.

Starting off cold but it should warm up to around +3 this afternoon.

It's going to be a beautiful day.

Late tomorrow should see the start of a run of snowy days that will hopefully bring us lots of snow.
