Snowfall at base this seas 917cm
Posted on Tuesday 5th May 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Yuzawa Now report can be found here.
Yesterday was the last day for the Tashiro Area of Kagura. By the looks of the webcam images, visibility was very limited for the day. Down in town it was wet and windy and not very warm. Not nice at all, and not at all like typical Golden Week weather.
This morning we have welcome clear skies and sunshine from early on in the morning. A significant improvement and much more pleasing.
Very good visibility, and it looks like the snow maintenance team has been patching up the main run at Kagura. They're not mentioning any fresh sprinklings of snow overnight...
Kagura is now offering their 'carry service' between the top of Mitsumata Ropeway and the base of Kagura Gondola. As there is now walking involved between lifts, staff will take your skis or board over so you don't have to carry them.
Last regular report and season message tomorrow. Beyond that, occasional updates with any Kagura news.
