I was planning on a pre-weekend report tomorrow, but I'll make it a bit earlier as there's some news...
From yesterday (Wednesday 27th), a shuttle bus is taking skiers and boarders from the top of the Mitsumata Ropeway over to the base of the Kagura Gondola - unfortunately there's not enough snow now left on the Mitsumata area to keep it open as a 'connecting run' and so the Mitsumata lifts are now closed.
With temperatures closing in on 30 degrees C again today in town, it's almost difficult to believe that Kagura is actually still open! It's going to be a hot one.
But it is with the main run and the Gondola course still hoping to remain open until Sunday.
4 more days including today if you want some very last turns.
The weather forecast is for the sun and hot conditions to continue through Saturday, with perhaps some rain on Sunday making things cooler for the last day of the season.

Kagura Number 1 Romance lift (this lift operating on Saturday and Sunday only)
Very thin on snow in places.
All other ski resorts in the region are now closed for the season.
