Snow is falling again this morning. At the time of writing, just measured 8cm of it. Earlier this morning, Kagura was reporting 10cm, Maiko reporting 5cm and Ishiuchi Maruyama reporting 3cm as of 7am. Hopefully we will get more cm today. It's not particularly cold this morning, and temps will probably hover around 0C through the day.
A break in the snow is currently forecast for tomorrow morning but it should be back by night time again and snowing on Sunday. Our famous snow walls by the side of roads around town that often build up to impressive heights with heavy snowfall have become less high over these last few days with the milder weather and no fresh snowfall, so it'll be good to see them get built up again. And fresh snow makes then nice and white too. They do feel like part of the package here in Yuzawa.
The Dragondola lift is re-opening today, once again connecting Naeba with the Tashiro Area of Kagura. All other ski areas open as planned and as far as we can tell we have a normal weekend ahead.
