There is lots of cloud around this morning, but some blue sky too and the sun breaking through in places as well. There has been a really cool looking sea of clouds hanging over the Minamiuonuma valley early on - as you can see on the images below. You can also see some lovely autumn colours hanging on up at Yuzawa Kogen.
It is going to be warmer over the weekend, perhaps even getting to over high teens at town level with not much chance of snow until at least the middle of next week.

Kagura news: Until last season, during periods when only the main Kagura Area of the resort was open, you had to ski/board down a snow mat area or do some walking on the way over to the Gondola. But this season the resort is going to be operating the Mitsumata Number 2 pair lift - meaning you can ride the lift down there, eliminating the need to walk down there.
