New snowfall at base 2cm
Snowfall at base this season 1110cm
Posted on Friday 13th February 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Yuzawa Now report can be found here.
Another rather warm day yesterday with lots of sun in the morning, though becoming increasingly overcast and hazy as the day progressed.
Before I went to sleep last night I could hear some rain - how much that continued I don't know, but it is snowing lightly now and we are still expecting snow today and tomorrow at least. Hopefully it'll get going and be coming down harder than it is just now. As yet just around 2cm to report. Kagura is reporting 5cm as of 7:30am.
According to most of the forecasts, we can expect potentially heavy snow and strong winds as well at times over the next two days. So hopefully some good things to report tomorrow morning for the start of the weekend.
With Chinese New Year next week helping things along, the next week or two will probably be the peak of the season in terms of number of visitors from overseas. Lets hope the weather continues to deliver and shows them how brilliant this area is!
